Alingo or wild pig can still be found in Ilocandia mountains.
But they are as rare as muting.
They say they are furious that you have to climbed tree if you see one, they might harm you.
Villagers make make wooden trapped to catch them.
They are important because these pigs is used as offering during canao or begnas.
They are more tasty than the hogs raised in the farm... ngem nakulkulbet/

Bulilising is a type of bird found in Ilocandia
Its physical feature is like lovebirds, but some say bulilising is different type.
It eats fruits like banana, mangoes...
Every morning, it whistles a sweet harmony...
But cannot talk.
It has a green color, red on breast and tail, the peak is orange.
I bought this one in Suyo, Ilocos Sur.
She's lonely coz shes looking for a partner.

Actually, i have the second thought if i have to post this one.

It's about a cow who gave birth to calves... yeah, calves... triplets.

I have been in many places, especially here in Ilocandia. I have climbed highest peaks of Region 1, and reached the most dangerous placed in northern luzon.

I have seen many animals, most of them are lovely yet wild enough that can't be catch by barehands.

In one occasion, i have seen the abuyo or wild chicken. This is bit little than native chicken. when i interviewed the one who catch, they say that they catch it in the mountainous area of Burgos, Ilocos Sur.

Lately, i have seen what we called "muting", an exotic species of wild cat, i have a photo of it and i put it in my photo gallery of this blog. Muting has a similar on shape and hair of a cat, but the face has a different shape.

When I go to Kinbilibil, Daligan, Santa Cruz, Ilocos Sur, they said that wild monkeys is still can be seen hanging around in the trees. There is also an alimaong, an wild type of rabbit. There are also wild pig or what we called alingo. But sad to say, you can't find now a wild deer in there mountain haven.
